Our Story

This part is actually kinda hard, and that’s why we didn’t even have a section talking about our company, who we are, and what we do until 9 days after we actually launched in the beginning of February 2021. Feels like I’m about to start an entire speech about our business and our brand.

[Some girl in Chicago loves anime, wanted to make and sell custom designs, and buy a Tesla. Some other dude came in and said “fuckin weebs” and that became the name of the business. Her website was disgusting, so this dude had to roast her, and then fix it. From there what was just a clothing shop, became what we started to envision as an experience for others who share the same interest in anime culture, without feeling shame.]

Based right in the heart of Chicago, Fck’n Weebs was just an idea without a name or any structured plan for the longest time, maybe more than a year before we launched. That was until our founder Michile (Actually Michelle, but Michile is more fun to say) brought up her idea in our group chat, seeming motivated and driven with the desire of wanting to make something of her own, taking something from nothing to an actual business that she can feel proud of, and told us of her idea about how she’s going to buy a Tesla. Make and sell clothing inspired by her own favorite anime shows, but with her own personal creative flavor added to the designs of the characters and shows, all based on the influence that each anime had on her.

I popped in immediately saying “Wow, really? Fuckin’ weebs, I swear…” and right there and then I had a moment, and realized that I’m an actual genius, 280 IQ. Name it ‘Fck’n Weebs’ and it’s not just a clothing business anymore, it’s an entire brand, with a disruptive name, and a purpose. It’s definitely no secret that weebs have a bad reputation just because they enjoy watching anime. I made a negative remark towards weebs, and then it turned into something that we felt would actually make you guys, who enjoy animated Japanese works of art, feel comfortable. Why shouldn’t you?

So Michile takes it, and runs with it, admiring my genius, and comes up with an impressive and eye catching design for her logo. Except when I saw the website she had in progress, I was in disgust, I had to roast her, I had to do it. It was an embarrassment to the weebs and to the entire internet. I had to take over and build at least a basic website where she could showcase her designs and provide a platform for you to see and purchase whichever design from your own favorite shows.

What you see right now, is just the very beginning and just a foundation of what we want to build. We have ideas flowing through every single day, so there’s a lot more to come. Even I’ll admit, the website is definitely not the best compared to what I’ve done in the past, so there’s definitely a lot of room for better design, and a more interactive experience. Michile is always working on new designs, learning more as she goes. What was originally just a clothing shop with anime prints, became more of a brand with a purpose behind its name. We want you weebs to be part of every moment.

We have a long term vision for the future of what we’ve started, but it literally doesn’t happen without you fck’n weebs.
